The purpose of this website is to provide free sermon manuscripts and sermon videos to pastors and missionaries throughout the world, especially the Third World, where there are few if any theological seminaries or Bible schools.
These sermon manuscripts and videos now go out to about 1,500,000 computers in over 221 countries every year at www.sermonsfortheworld.com. Hundreds of others watch the videos on YouTube, but they soon leave YouTube and come to our website. YouTube feeds people to our website. The sermon manuscripts are given in 46 languages to about 120,000 computers each month. The sermon manuscripts are not copyrighted, so preachers can use them without our permission.

A sermon preached at the Fundamentalist Baptist Tabernacle of Los Angeles
Lord's Day Morning, April 22, 2001
"He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are
judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and
right is he" (Deuteronomy 32:4).
God is "a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he" (Deuteronomy 32:4). In Psalm 92:15 we read, "There is no unrighteousness in him."
Today we often hear people say, "It wouldn't be right for God to send anyone to Hell." Or, "It wouldn't be fair for people to be in Hell forever." These people charge God with being wrong and unfair for threatening sinners with eternal damnation. But they are wrong and God is right, as I will show.
The Bible says, "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? (Genesis 18:25). And the answer to that question is "yes." God always does right, and He never does wrong. He is "a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he."
Since God is just and right it must be right for Him to judge you for your sins. Jonathan Edwards pointed out the reason this is true:
That it is just with God eternally to cast off wicked men, may more abundantly appear, if we consider how much sin they are guilty of…Sinful men are full of sin; principles and acts of sin: their guilt is like great mountains, heaped one upon another, till the pile is grown up to heaven. They are totally corrupt, in every part, in all their faculties; in all the principles of their nature, their understanding and their wills; and in all their dispositions and affections. Their heads, their hearts are totally depraved; all the members of their bodies are only instruments of sin; and all their senses, seeing, hearing…are only inlets and outlets of sin, channels of corruption. There is nothing (in you) but sin, no good at all. "In me…dwelleth no good thing" (Romans 7:18). There is all manner of wickedness…There is hard-heartedness, hardness greater than that of a rock, or an adamant-stone. There is obstinacy and perverseness, incorrigibleness and obstinacy and inflexibleness in sin, that will not be overcome by threatenings or promises, by awakenings or encouragements, by judgments or mercies, neither by that which is terrifying nor that which is winning (pleasant). The very blood of God our Saviour will not win the heart of a wicked man.
And there are actual wickednesses without number or measure. There are breaches of every command, in thought, word, and deed: a life filled up with sin; days and nights filled up with sin; mercies abused…trampled on, and the honor of each person of the Trinity trod in the dirt. Now if one sinful word or thought has so much evil in it, as to deserve eternal destruction, how do they deserve to be eternally cast off and destroyed (in Hell), that are guilty of so much sin! (Jonathan Edwards, Works, Volume I, Edinburgh: Banner of Truth, 1992 reprint of the 1834 edition, p. 670).
Edwards shows the depths of your sin clearly and graphically. He shows that God is right and you are wrong! God is "a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he" (Deuteronomy 32:4). But you are a person full of iniquity, unjust and sinful are you! You see, God is right and you are wrong.
And you are so strongly and stubbornly wrong that it is right for God to punish you. It is right for Him to leave you behind at the rapture. It is right for him to give you up to reprobation. It is right for Him to cast you into Hell forever.
I. First, it is right for God to leave you behind at the rapture.
Dave Hunt, Wilbur M. Smith, James O. Combs, Arno C. Gaebelein and many other prominent preachers say that this passage refers to the rapture:
"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh" (Matthew 25:10-13).
The passage says:
"They that were ready went in…and the door was shut"
(Matthew 25:10).
When the rapture comes, and true Christians are "caught up" to meet Christ, it will then be too late for you! (cf. I Thessalonians 4:16-18; I Corinthians 15:51-57).
Man and wife asleep in bed,
She hears a noise and turns her head,
He's gone! I wish we'd all been ready.
Two men walking up a hill,
One disappears and one's left standing still.
I wish we'd all been ready.
There's no time to change your mind,
How could you have been so blind?
The Son has come, and you've been left behind.
("I Wish We'd All Been Ready" by Larry Norman, 1969).
And it will be right for God to leave you behind at the rapture. You deserve to be left behind. God is "a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he" (Deuteronomy 32:4). God is right and you are wrong - therefore it is right for Him to leave you to suffer on earth at the rapture. God is right and you are wrong.
II. Second, it is right for God to give you up to reprobation.
Dr. Henry C. Thiessen said:
Final hardening is the sin against the Holy Spirit and is unpardonable, because the soul…has ceased to be receptive of divine influence (H. C. Thiessen, Introductory Lectures in Systematic Theology, Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1949, p. 270).
The Bible says:
"Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears" (Hebrews 12:16-17).
Esau tried to repent, but it was too late! He stands forever as an example of a man who waited too long to be saved. He committed the unpardonable sin.
Was it right for God to give Esau over to reprobation? Yes - God was right to give up on Esau! God is "a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he" (Deuteronomy 32:4). God is right and you are wrong.
III. Third, it is right for God to cast you into Hell.
The Bible says:
"The fearful and unbelieving…and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone" (Revelation 21:8).
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:15).
"And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 25:30).
Will it be right for God to throw you into Hell? You bet it will! He is "a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he" (Deuteronomy 32:4). "Far be it from God, that he should do wickedness" (Job 34:10). "There is no unrighteousness in him" (Psalm 92:15). It is the right thing for God to send you to Hell. Why?
(1) You made everything in your lifetime more important than church. You missed whenever any little excuse came up.
(2) You did not think seriously about Christ. You did not seek Him.
(3) You did not think about your sins or how to get your sins removed from God's record.
(4) You thought little about Jesus' death on the Cross to pay for your sins and wash them away by His Blood.
(5) You argued in your mind when you heard this sermon. You were actually arguing with God - who revealed every one of these truths in the Bible.
(6) You committed many sins you wouldn't want anyone in this room to know about. But God knows about them!
Yes - you certainly deserve to be in Hell. God is right and you are wrong! It is right, it is correct, for God to send you to the flames.
You have neglected the great salvation God offers, and the Bible says,
"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?"
(Hebrews 2:3).
God is right and you are wrong!
Christ died on the Cross to make a full payment for your sins. He went to Hell on the Cross so you don't have to go to Hell in eternity. "His blood atones for all our race, and sprinkles now the throne of grace," said Charles Wesley. And he was right!
But you must admit that God is just and right and fair - and you must admit that you are a sinner in deep rebellion against God. You must also admit that God is right and that you are all wrong. Then, you must believe in Jesus:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (on the Cross), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
God did not send Jesus to condemn you. He sent His Son so you "through him might be saved" (John 3:17).
Jesus did not stay on that Cross. He arose, a flesh and bone body, on the first Easter. The angel said,
"He is not here, for he is risen" (Matthew 28:6).
And today Jesus Christ is alive physically in another dimension, on the right hand of God the Father (cf. Mark 16:19; Hebrews 10:12; etc.).
I want you to look to Jesus by faith this morning. Turn your back on your life of sin and look to Jesus. He will save you! He will save you! He will save you now!
He will cleanse your sins by His Blood - and He will do it now - once and forever!
